SOLAR AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

In a concerted effort to foster a profound understanding of solar energy's pivotal role in combating climate change, the International Solar Innovation Council (InSIC) from Finland and the NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT) from India have collaborated on a transformative initiative—the Solar Ambassador Program. Started in 2022, this groundbreaking endeavor aims to raise awareness among the younger generation about the diverse applications of solar energy. The program, held on various occasions, has seen enthusiastic participation from students of esteemed educational institutions in Kolkata, India. Each edition of the program has been meticulously designed to provide students with hands-on experience and interactive sessions aimed at deepening their understanding of various renewable energy sources. During the program sessions, students engage in practical experiments, exploring innovative solar technologies. Additionally, they delve into factors influencing Solar PV Performance, gaining invaluable insights into the workings of solar energy systems. Interactive sessions led by esteemed personalities, including renowned experts from both India and abroad, offer students a holistic view of the global landscape in renewable energy. Discussions range from current issues in solar energy research to future opportunities and the potential for exchange programs, empowering students with knowledge and inspiration.
